If there's ever an award for the weirdest product names, then the Slime 40001 Motorcycle Tire Inflator is definitely right up there. All jokes aside, however, the Slime 40001 is actually a pretty neat product that's well worth checking out if you are a touring rider.
The device is actually pretty easy to use and assemble. It comes with all that you'll need to inflate a tire, and then some. Although it's a product named literally for inflating motorcycle tires, you can actually use it to inflate car and bicycle tires, or pretty much any tire for that matter.
To use it, all you need to do is to connect it to any 12v power supply. You can use a lighter adaptor, or use it directly connected to your motorcycle battery, either via hard wiring it or using alligator clips. Either way works just fine.
The entire package is neatly packed into a tight protective carrying case, which is a huge added bonus because this is something that was probably meant to be used by riders who are out and about a lot.
In terms of ease of use, the Slime 40001 Motorcycle Tire Inflator is extremely beginner-friendly. The 300psi compressor pumps tires quite quickly and is actually pretty quiet as well.
If there's one caveat with the tire inflator and that is the pressure gauge is not built-in. This means that if you plan on using it, you have to guess the pressure while pumping and then disconnect it to check if the pressure is right. This is unlike others where the pressure gauge is built-in so you can stop once you've pumped up the tire to the desired pressure.
The Slime 40001 Motorcycle Tire Inflator kit comes with a 12-volt 300 psi compressor, a power cord, alligator clips, lighter, pre-wired power connectors, air hose, and a pencil pressure gauge.
